Gospel Center in Majaoni

What an amazing day at Injili (Gospel Center) in Majaoni! We saw 245 children today, staff & teachers and many people from the community. It was such a smooth operation, too bad it was our last day. The team did an amazing job yet again. I am so proud of their incredible efforts & compassion during this medical trip.  Today was our longest day, we worked until 6:30pm. The team had a difficult time turning people away. Its definitely one of the toughest parts of the trip...not being able to help everyone who needs it.
We are all exhausted but feeling like we made a huge difference. As we take a couple of days to see the incredible wildlife at Tsavo East National Park we will be able to relax and recoup. Hopefully reflecting and praying about our role in God's plan for ourselves and the children at the centers. Its a lot to process, we'll be forever changed because of this country and these people.
I won't be blogging tomorrow night at the safari lodge, but Friday night I will have some great pictures for you to see. (Please pray for Cheetahs! :)
the day began with a few stitches for Bobby & Lisa's babysitter before we left the hotel

Ugali (maze flour/corn meal & water mixture) & sukuna (cooked collard greens)

ok seriously?! Could they be any cuter?!

  3. I will pray for cheetahs...as long as you tell them to come back in July... :)

Am praying for the group and all that God wants to impart during this time of relaxation.

Those wonderful people that experienced your gracious serving will never forget you...and they are emblazoned on your hearts.

  4. We are so greatful to have people who are not "lazy", but work hard and serve the Lord "enthusiastically". That is the quote from Romans 12:11, pronounced weekly by Pastor Guy, and lived so proudly by each of you through this opportunity.
